Matt Korobkin

To Nammon's family and friends:

It is with a heavy heart that I write this goodbye to my dear friend, P' Nammon. Nammon's verve, beauty, wit, intelligence, optimism and compassion are timeless. She was my co-worker, mentor and close friend. We spent many summer and winter vacations together at Brewster Academy and Strong Point working with Thai scholars. We shared many ice cream cones, cold beers and good times together on Lake Winnipesaukee. Nammon could make me laugh like no other and Nammon's smile could cheer a whole room.

When Nammon was diagnosed with cancer, she bravely endured many treatments. Not once did I ever hear her ask, "Why me?". Nammon always put her family, friends and education ahead of anything else. She never lost her love for life or her sharp sense of humor. When I saw Nammon two or three months ago, we laughed the night away with old friends as we often did together. And, as usual, - even as sick as she was - Nammon was the last to go to bed.

Nammon influenced more people, around the world, than any other person I have ever met. Her circles of influence spread from wolfeboro NH; Boston MA; New York NY; Hanover NH; Philadelphia PA; Santa Barbara CA; Germany and Thailand. She was a remarkable woman who accomplished incredible things - more than most people achieve in a lifetime. Even in her final months, she did everything (travelling, hiking, skiing, vosotomg dear froemds and living) on her own terms - uniquely Nammon.

Nammon, I miss you. The thought of your smile and laugh will always make me happy. Tjaml upi fpr beomg a friend.
With all of my love,

Matty K AKA. Matt Korobkin
